Classes Two sets of classes: mornings and afternoons 4 quareters / year (no classes on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays).
Morning Classes Intermediate Advanced - Advanced level
Afternoon Classes 4-6 periods / day
*The school will advise students of their assigned classes based on their overall results at the time of admission and on theeir term-end exams.
Learning goals and class levels
Beginners BeginnersⅠ/BeginnersⅡ
Students start with hiragana and katakana and, using basic Japanese adjectives, verbs and adverbs, study Japanese to the point where they can write sentences and communicate in Japanese. The goal is for students to pass Level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
Intermediate Lower Intermediate/IntermediateⅠ/IntermediateⅡ
Students become able to "obtain information" and "impart information" in various situations in Japanese by utilizing a variety of sources including through interaction with Japanese people and through newspapers and magazines. The goal is for students to pass Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
Advanced Intermediate Advanced/Advanced I/Advanced II
Students become able to logically express their opinions and exchange opinions in Japanese.They also aim to be able to understand Japanese in the field of specialty they intend to study after graduating. The goal is for students to pass Level 1 of the Japanese Proficiency Test.
*Special guidance for post-graduate studies
  In japan, those students who have completed a 4-year university course (graduate course) and who have passed either Level 1 or Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test are eligible to undertake post-graduate studies. In addition to Japanese language classes, the school also offers guidance in writing research proposals and dissertations and provides advice in how to defend a dissertation for students wishing to advance to post-graduate courses.
